Nekogems
Nekogems were adorable little resin animal figurines I designed, produced and manufactured as a part of a Kickstarter project. The Kickstarter managed to raise over 10 times its original funding goal. There were multiple models apart from the cat (neko) sculpt, including fox, bunny, bird, dragon, corgi and unicorn (plus “baby” versions!)
After many concept sketches, chosen designs were modeled in 3D software, and a master model was 3D printed. These masters were sanded, polished and glazed, then immersed in silicone to create custom reusable moulds. The moulds were used to cast the Nekogems in resin to each backers’ specifications.
